The Lodge is an improvised long form show. Founded on an audience suggestion, a secret society is born and the performers create a show exposing the secret rituals of this new society and the unwitting world waiting outside.

“Ed Z.” [USG Classified Code # X3-148] is the product of a TOP SECRET defense research project. Desperate for an edge over Nazi military supremacy at the onset of World War II, renowned American biochemist Dr. Emil Erskine, working under direct orders from The National Security Council, struggled to create a “Super-Soldier Serum.” This potent life-altering drug was designed to transform the mind, body and spirit of an ordinary volunteer into a pure fighting machine; a hard, combat-ready killer who would stop at nothing before his military objective was accomplished. Trial #148 was a complete and utter failure. Thus was accidentally born Ed Z., a passive, friendly, mild mannered optimist, with marginal hair loss.
Between 1998-2003 Ed Z. received deep psychological reprogramming in the secret underground lair of The Upright Citizens Brigade. The United States government continues to deny any and all knowledge of Ed Z.

In High School, Blejer began exchanging letters with the recently deceased Carl Sagan. Although Blejer was the more loquacious of the two, Sagan was not without his contributions, having previously authored a number of highly sought-after form letters dealing with Cosmology and slapstick, both of which were of great interest to the burgeoning intellectual. This relationship culminated with Sagan's final form letter, entitled "Cease and Desist." But it was a highly fluid time for Blejer, filled with experimentation in a range of identities. According to a close friend he once wore a French beret every day to gym class for a week, which later served as the inspiration for his now famous confessional, "Kicked in the Balzac."
